        Lucinda Danley - Allotment of Dower

        Comes on this day the petitioners, Lucinda Danley, and the court after hearing the evidences is of the opinion that the prayers of said petitioners should be granted and the following ______are by the court appointed to measure lay off and ascribed the dower of said petitioners in and to the SE ¼ of section 18 Township 18 north range 28 west. Albert Hice, H. Bell and Thomas Bartair. Benjamin Danley a discret person is hereby appointed by the court to offer, defend and protect the interest of Atlas N. Danley, Porter H. Danley, Jasper McCuin Danley and Virgil Ewing Danley infants and Sarah F. Danley of unsound mind who are heirs of law of said estate.

        Comes now on this day the said B. L. Danley and files and presents to the court his petition asking the court that he be appointed Guardian of Sarah F., Porter H., Jasper M and Virgil E. Danley minors under the age of 21 years old and as such guardian files his bond in the sum of five hundred dollars with B. A. Stone and J. F. Carrigan as his securities there to which said bond and securities are by the court considered good and sufficient.

        It is therefore ordered by the court that the said B.L. Danley be and he is appointed guardian as aforesaid.

        Lucinda Danley, Exparte

        The petition of the undersigned respectfully showeth that on or about the _ day of June 1889 in Washington County Arkansas Jackson Danley died seized and possessed in fee of the following described real estate situated dying and being in Washington County Arkansas to wit: The southeast quarter of section eighteen in township eighteen north of range twenty-eight west; that the said Jackson Danley died intestate leaving as his relict and widow Lucinda Danley your petitioners and the following heirs at law to wit: B. L. Danley now age 35, Newton A. Danley 33, Eliza J.Carrigan 28, Sarah F. Danley 24, Cordelia F. Macon 22, Lordy V.B. Danley 21, Atlas C.C.A.N. 19, Porter H. Danley 17, Virgil Ewing Danley 13 and Jasper McCuin Danley 13 all of which heirs at law now live in said County except Newton A. who resides in Greene County Arkansas. That B.L. Newton A. Eliza J. Cordelia F. Lordy V.B. have said and convey by warranty deed this which in said estate to E.T. Ellis. That your petitioners has continuously lived on said estate since the death of her said husband supporting her children from the proceeds thereof. That your petitioners claims dower in said lands and prays the court to allot her the same in c.t.a. prescribed by law.
